That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life—unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land—it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity. (Surah Al Ma’idah 5:32, Quran)
Whoever saves one life saves the world entire. (Sanhedrin 37a, Talmud)
Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. (Gospel of Matthew, 25:40)
He who sees all beings in the Self, and the Self in all beings, never turns away from it. (Isha Upanishad, verse 6)
All tremble at violence; all fear death. Comparing others with oneself, one should neither kill nor cause others to kill. (Dhammapada, 129)
Do not impose on others what you do not wish for yourself. (Analects, 15:24)
I hear so many people expressing despair, anger, and a sense of powerlessness over what’s happening in Gaza. While I understand these emotions, I also know there are many ways we as members of the global community can help, including donations of money, time, and expertise, providing moral support, and a combination of advocacy and activism.
I am always happy to suggest ways to help our fellow human beings in Gaza who continue to suffer at the hands of the occupation and its ongoing genocide. This is for those who feel a moral obligation to make a difference. For everyone else, shame on you. Your silence is complicity. For those who support the genocide, there is no dialogue with the devil.
I created a Gaza Aid Advisor custom GPT that users can interact with. It will suggest ways to help with donations and/or expertise. Here’s the description: A practical, trusted guide to helping people in Gaza through donations, volunteering, and professional expertise. Get personalized, ethical, and high-impact ways to contribute based on your resources, skills, and goals. This is still a beta version, a work in progress. I welcome your feedback! Note: I built a similar GPT for Vietnam.
In a post on LinkedIn, Meg S. divided the support that Palestinians in Gaza receive into three categories.
1. Large-scale humanitarian organisations delivering essential services like food, water, healthcare and shelter.
2. Palestinian-led and Gaza-based organisations working directly within their communities
3. Direct support to individuals and families, helping meet urgent and personal needs
Each plays an important role and many people choose to contribute across more than one.
I’ve structured it somewhat differently.
Financial Donations
Anera: Since 1968, Anera has worked to help refugees and communities affected by conflict in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan rebuild their lives with purpose, opportunity and hope. What began as a response to urgent humanitarian needs has grown into decades of sustained partnership with communities determined to shape their own futures.
Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children: Provides education and vocational training, support for people with disabilities, and inclusive community programs
Culture & Free Thought Association (CFTA): Provides child protection and education programs, support for women and youth, and emergency relief assistance.
Gaza Soup Kitchen: In early 2024, two brothers, Hani and Mahmoud Almadhoun, founded the Gaza Soup Kitchen. What began as a personal vow to ensure their neighbors in Beit Lahia, Gaza, wouldn’t go hungry quickly grew into a grassroots Palestine NGO movement, supported by people worldwide who wanted to donate to Palestine and help Gaza families.
Gazan Student Support Network: GSSN helps rebuild human capacity in Gaza by connecting students with universities, delivering vital online programs, and advocating for institutional pathways that expand educational access and opportunity.
Heal Palestine: HEAL Palestine is a nonpolitical, nonreligious U.S.-registered nonprofit founded in 2024 to deliver urgent relief and long-term support to Palestinian children and families. Through our four pillars—Health, Education, Aid, and Leadership—we provide critical care and resources while centering grassroots leadership and community-led recovery. Our work is rooted in dignity, resilience, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to heal and thrive.
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC): The ICRC operates in conflict settings with a focus on humanitarian protection. It provides emergency medical care, water and sanitation infrastructure support, protection and assistance for civilians, and coordination of humanitarian access
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders /MSF): Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) translates to ‘doctors without borders’. We provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of professionals working in health and medical care, logistics, administration, communications, skilled trades – all bound together by our charter and serving people in need. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence, and neutrality. We are a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation.
OnePalestine: One Palestine is a nonprofit supporting vulnerable families across Gaza. It began when our founder started independent campaigns to help those facing hardship, driven by determination and a vision to make a difference.
Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF): Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), founded in 1991 by concerned humanitarians in the USA, provides free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within the local health care system. Over the years, we’ve sent over 2,000 affected children abroad for free medical care, sent thousands of international doctors and nurses to provide tens of thousands of children free medical care in local hospitals, and provided tens of thousands of children humanitarian aid and support they otherwise would not get.
PSSAR (Palestinian Students and Scholars at Risk Network): PSSAR is a volunteer-based, non-profit, and apolitical organization based in Canada. Our objective is to empower Palestinian students and scholars through global academic solidarity.
UNICEF: UNICEF focuses on protecting and supporting children in humanitarian crises. It provides: water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services, nutritional support and malnutrition treatment, medical supplies for hospitals and clinics, child protection and psychosocial support, and temporary education services.
UNRWA USA: We proudly carry out our mission in partnership with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) — supporting its life-changing work in education, healthcare, and humanitarian aid for millions of Palestine refugees in Gaza, the West Bank (including East Jerusalem), Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. UNRWA Is Still in Gaza.
Women’s Affairs Center Gaza: Provides support services for women and families, psychosocial care, and advocacy and protection programs.
80 PLUS is a UK-based non-profit run by volunteers that brings communities and universities together to fund one-year master’s scholarships for students from Gaza. We believe that protecting education is essential to rebuilding Gaza’s future, and that collective action can make it possible.
Of course, there are many other organizations doing lifesaving work in Gaza. Check out the aforementioned GPT for suggestions. I can vouch for all of the aforementioned entities
Crowdfunding Campaigns: This assume that the individual(s) you wish to support have been vetted. There are too many people happy to cash in on their fellow human beings’ suffering with scams. Platforms like Chuffed have a strict onboarding process and require a verified fund manager in an approved country. Your approach should be Trust But Verify.

Moral Support
Connect with Palestinians in Gaza online, e.g., LinkedIn, and follow relevant organizations to stay informed and provide support. It’s important that we embrace both advocacy and activism.
Yes, this is the tip of the iceberg. I’ll continue to add to this list. Please feel free to send me suggestions here, on LinkedIn, or via email.
