This is a LinkedIn post by Dr. Abdalqader Ahmed Khader Wishah that I set to music. According to his profile, Dr. Wishah is a Palestinian physician who graduated from Al-Azhar University in Gaza in 2020. Since 2021, he has been working as a team leader in the Emergency Department at Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, located in central Gaza. Throughout his career, he has witnessed the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and several wars in Gaza, which have given him extensive experience in managing mass casualties. He has also supervised and trained many newly graduated doctors, helping them navigate the complexities of emergency medicine. With a strong background in academic teaching, he spent a year as a university instructor for medical students at Al-Azhar University. Additionally, he has completed numerous courses in medical research and emergency medicine. His ambition is to continue his studies and specialize in vascular surgery, aiming to become an expert in this field.
Here’s Dr. Wishah’s GoFundMe account.
Gaza is no longer a city; it’s an open wound that bleeds without end. It is a place where children’s breaths clash with the roar of bombs, where life is born beneath the rubble of death, and dreams are buried under the dust of war.
In Gaza, the cries of the hungry go unheard because the sound of drones and warplanes is louder. The pain of mothers is hidden behind clouds of smoke. People walk among the ruins with hollow eyes, not looking for hope, just searching for a missing loved one, a piece of bread, or a corner to survive.
Hospitals have become halls of helplessness — no medicine, no electricity, no time even to grieve. The night brings no peace, only more missiles. The day brings no light, just a brief pause before the next massacre.
Gaza is not just a headline. It is a broken scream in the throat of the world, waiting for a conscience that does not sleep…
