Posted by Miral Asker, one of my LinkedIn contacts who’s based in Cairo. This is what most of the Western MSM calls the Israel-Hamas “war” or “conflict.” Another example of Israel’s handiwork, one of the things it does best in its ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza in pursuit of the Greater Israel project. The killing spree continues unabated by military means and starvation.
Her name was Hala Arafat. She was 35 years old.
Since 2 a.m., she and 12 members of her family—most of them children—were trapped under the rubble of their bombed home on Zarka Street, in Al Tufah neighborhood of Gaza.
They were alive. For hours.
Buried. Crying. Gasping. Pleading.
Anyone who tried to get close to help them was targeted by drones. Sniped. Attacked. Rescuers turned to victims. Including civil defense workers. No help came.
Hala and 12 members of her family, just idied. Buried for more than 12 hours under the debris of their own home. The Israeli military bombed them. Then it shot at anyone who dared to try to save them.
This was not a tragic accident. This was not collateral damage. This was a family hunted and left to die slowly and in public view.
This is the reality Israel calls self-defense.
Hala was killed along with her husband and their four children. Along with them, her brother-in-law, his wife and their three children. Their names were:
Mohammed, Fatina, Ihab, Hala, Mohammed, Wasim, Omar, Abdul Rahman, Basel, Hadeel, Obeida, Hala & Layan Arafat.
Thirteen people. Flattened into the earth. Denied even the right to be rescued.
And yet Israel continues to call itself the most moral army in the world — while erasing families like the Arafats from it.

How could it be done to you, and your ancestors, and you turn around, and you do it to someone else?
