This remains my most popular post since I launched this blog in 2009. When I last searched for “do not regret growing older” in Google, there were 68.1 million results. There were 27.1 million results for “It is a privilege denied to many.” In both cases, my original post was the first result. It’s obviously on the minds of many people around the world. Mortality and thoughts about the same unite us all.
I think of this in the context of my family and many others I don’t know and will never meet. Since October 2023, the people of Gaza have weighed heavily on my mind and soul. Israel is murdering tens of thousands of innocents in pursuit of the Greater Israel project, i.e., yet another land grab with the support of key Western countries in thought, word, and deed.
