I spent 2 years living and working constructing (along with 3,000 Thai tradesmen) one of the two Israeli airbases in Ovda, Israel, (1982-1984) as part of President Jimmie Carter and his Camp David Peace Accords between Menachem Begin and Anwar Sadat.
While I abhor the terrible loss of life on both sides, until or unless the radical Islamists stop insisting on wiping Israel off the map, there will NEVER be peace there.
The various tribes are all “close cousins,” and they would only learn to “live and let live,” there is no reason why peace cannot or should not be achieved.
I put 90% of the blame on the Islamic radicals and their leaders who got rich from all the donor money and 10% on the Israeli politicians.

I address the notion that it’s somehow the fault of “Islamic radicals” for the invasion of Gaza and ongoing genocide in a forthcoming 3,000-word article. I notice you didn’t mention the suffering of innocents, men, women, and children, in Gaza. Why is that? I’ve also heard a lot about moral equivalence – “the terrible loss of life on both sides.” Do you know how many Palestinians have been murdered since last year vs. the number of Israelis?
