Our own life has to be our message. -Thích Nhất Hạnh
Longtime friend George Cooper passed away yesterday morning at his home in Phnom Penh. As is often the case with this wretched disease, the lung cancer for which he was successfully treated returned with a vengeance and metastasized to his brain.
I’m grateful for the brief time we spent holding his hand, telling him not to worry about anything, and reminding him of all the love and support, including financial, he had. I also had the chance to pay George a simple yet supreme compliment, namely, that he’s a good man. The world desperately needs more like him.

I’ll have more to say about George and his legacy in due time.
